Gabriel “Gabe” Wong is a multidisciplinary creative whose practice spans architecture, art, design, and academia.

As an architect, Gabe is Director of Design at Atelier 1985, a Panama-based architecture firm he co-founded and runs with his wife. Passionate about academia, he almost two decades of experience teaching drawing and design at the university level.

He is also an accomplished artist whose work is held in private collections across all seven continents and has been presented to heads of state and prominent global figures, including Pope Francis and the President of China. He served as the official book scribe documenting the historic records of the churches in Panama’s colonial Old Quarter, Casco Viejo. His corporate clients and collaborations have included Cable & Wireless, Boeing, Nike, and Montblanc.

Gabe’s work brings together influences from his diverse fields of practice and cultural heritage, reflecting his own story: that of a 21st-century Panamanian architect of Chinese heritage, shaped by the intersection of cultures, disciplines, and global exchange.
