Figurative

These figurative works draw inspiration from Chinese/Panamanian cultures and from architecture, fusing them in an expressionist, contemporary manner. The golden-colored backgrounds are inspired by traditional Chinese murals and panels. The clashing blasts of colores are very Panama: chaotic but somehow working together. The expression of volume, as well as the geometric accents found in shaded areas are inspired by the architectural pursuit of 3D representation.

With more than a millennia of pictorial relationship between mankind and bulls, the artist paints them as a symbol used to unite East and West in a meaningful way to him. At other times tropical animals are depicted with an Asian twist (i.e.: Harpy Eagle x Phoenix).
